Thursday 3rd July 2008 - Mobile Theory Test Unit

Another first at Mikes School Of Motoring.Once a month our Mobile Theory Test Unit will be in St James Square Newport.We will also be touring the Islands Towns/Villages and stoping to offer held and advice on the Theory/Hazard Perception Tests.There will be a instructor on hand to help and advise you and you will able to practice your Theory Test/Hazard Perception Tests on our computer.(Mike)

Saturday 29th March 2008 - MSM Instructor achieves Gold Standard at RoSPA Advanced Driving Test
Mike's School Of Motoring's team of highly qualified instructors gets yet another boost today with Simon Webb acquiring the top Gold standard on his RoSPA Advanced Driving Test today. The test comprised of a drive over a variety of roads (urban, rural, dual carriageway) under the watchful eye of the Police Class 1 Examiner. A safe, systematic drive with good progress was made hence the Gold rating awarded.

Friday 21st March 2008 - Fleet Driver Training Accreditation - We now have FOUR DSA Fleet approved trainers
We are proud to announce the new company MSM CDT - Corporate Driver Training division, creating the largest Corporate Driver Training school on the Isle of Wight with four DSA Fleet accredited trainers on stream now. Please see our separate Fleet Training tabs on the website for more information on the courses and services offered. Friday 21st March 2008 - Three new Diamond Advanced Instructors at MSM
Yet more accolade for the MSM team, with three more of our instructors now Diamond Advanced Drivers following the successful completion of their Advanced tests. Well done Stuart, Simon and Jeff. N.b. Mike already holds this qualification. Yet more proof of the quality and dedication of the training capabilities of the top Island driving school.

Wednesday 9th January 2008 - Further Career Development Training

Saturday 29th December 2007 - Driving at 18 and Minimum Learning Periods

There has been much press comment of late about the driving age increasing to age 18 and with a minimum learning period (maybe 12 months). Various European directives are shaping our government\'s policy along with continued poor accident rates for the younger, inexperienced, drivers. As yet nothing is concrete but consultation papers are currently being issued into the public domain.

What is certain is that the current learning to drive and testing environment will change over time. But, currently, we do not see any change to beginning to learn at age 17.

Here at Mike\'s School of Motoring we will keep you posted on developments but if you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to telephone our office or e-mail us.

Sunday 18th November 2007 - Fleet Driver Training
We will soon be displaying a Fleet Driver Training page on our web site; there will an information pack which can be downloaded or sent for. There will also be a portfolio of services and prices.We can cater for large or small companies within a 250 mile radius of Porstmouth/Southampton and of course Island based companies.(Sally, Marketing/ Manager).

We will be updating the Gallery in the near future with pictures of this Complete New and Hugely Succesful Team.
