I started work as a driving instructor in 1988, working for B.S.M. in Birmingham.

I then returned to the Island in September 1993 and founded this school later in the year.

It is my aim to continue to reach the top of my profession and I continually try to upgrade my qualifications to the benefit of my pupils.

I am currently half way through an Open University degree in Driving Instructing at Middlesex University.

I moved to the Island in 1978 and gained my driving instructors licence in 1979. I worked for the Brian Lansley School of Motoring on the Island for around 8 years before changing career.

In late 2003 I decided that I wanted to return to the career that I had always loved. My original instructors licence had expired so I needed to retrain. Mikes School of Motoring was the obvious choice.

Now that I have regained my instructors licence I am pleased to be working with such a well respected driving school. It has been lovely to now find myself teaching the next generation of my original 80's students.

The Island where I was born is a wonderful place to learn to drive, and I love working hard to help all pupils achieve their driving ambitions. As the Island's premier driving school, Mike's School of Motoring was the natural choice for me to join to achieve this and I am proud to work with such an excellent team.

For the benefit of all my pupils - present and future - I have furthered my Approved Driving Instructor qualifications by achieving three advanced driving/motorcycling awards and I am now working on a Further Education instructor's diploma.

Working with people on a one to one basis is what I do best and helping people to complete the process of learning to drive compliments my skills perfectly. My patient and friendly approach helps the new driver safely pass their driving test with the skills they need for 'safe driving for life'.
